An alleged hit and run incident Tuesday night in Grand Junction resulted in life-threatening injuries.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the incident occurred at 8:10pm at the intersection of 16th Street and Sandoe Street East. Seventy-two-year-old Robert Kinnick of Grand Junction was traveling north on 16th Street in a 2005 Dodge Ram truck when it hit 46-year-old Travis Fincel of Grand Junction, who was walking north – and within the roadway- on 16th Street.
Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams said the pickup truck allegedly left the scene, and they found the vehicle parked at a Casey’s gas station, where Kinnick was taken in for questioning. Williams said Kinnick admitted to hitting Fincel.
